A new series of paintings inspired by Picasso’s Guernica

It is one of Picasso’s best-known works, regarded by many art critics as the most moving and powerful anti-war painting in history. It is exhibited in the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid. And I have had the opportunity to visit it twice in my life.

This is the second of 4 in an ultimate series entitled Abril26 (April 26) the day Guernica (a small town in the Basque Country) was bombed during the Spanish Civil War
This painting is called “A Las 5” (At 5pm) which was the time the incident occurred


“DE LA TARDE”

This is the third of 4 in an ultimate series entitled Abril26 (April 26) the day Guernica (a small town in the Basque Country) was bombed during the Spanish Civil War
This painting is called “De La Tarde” (In the afternoon) which was the time the incident occurred
